Dr Eoin Galavan is a Chartered Clinical and Counselling Psychologist Psychological Society of Ireland (Ps.S.I.), Associate Fellow Ps.S.I., Accredited Psychometric Test User Levels A+B, British Psychological Society, Accredited European Test User, European Federation of Psychologists Association, Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS) consultant, expert trainer in suicide prevention and intervention, Accredited Member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (2006-2017), Dialectical Behaviour Therapist, service lead for the North Dublin Suicide Assessment and Treatment Service (2013-present), Adult Mental Health, HSE; Clinical Tutor, Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology, Trinity College Dublin, Occasional Lecturer D.Clin.Psych., MA Applied Psychology, TCD, published author, public speaker, media contributor, and national and international conference presenter on the topics of suicide prevention and mental health.
Eoin is part of an international contingent of suicide prevention experts currently providing training to Lithuanian mental health professionals, in response to this countries extremely high rate of suicide. Eoin specialises in helping systems and organisations develop suicide prevention strategies, in training people to address suicidality when it emerges, and manage crisis situations.
Eoin has many years experience delivering psychological therapy and mental health care to suicidal people, researching the area of clinical suicidality, consulting with colleagues and supervising and training various groups in suicide 5 prevention. Eoin spoke on the topic of ‘Suicide is Everyone’s Business’ at the Mental Health and Well Being Summit in the Aviva Stadium, October 11th, 2018 and is a Key Note Speaker on Mental Health & Well-being Summit on the 12 th Oct 2020.
Eoin has considerable academic research experience being published in peer reviewed journals, and having conducted research at undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral level, and having overseen the delivery of many service based research projects including service audits, training program evaluations, and exploratory research into client experiences of services both qualitative and quantitative.
Yessica Cenoz Mcmahon is from México City and now lives in Ireland. She has a Degree in Psychology from the University Justo Sierra in Mexico. Her experience spans human resources, organisational development and counselling. Her commercial experience includes the Comex Group (2008 to 2014), the fourth largest paint manufacturer and distributor of paints and waterproofing products in North America, with 3,300 locations. Much of her work was in recruitment and selection, well-being, inductions & policy, promotion and individual contracts. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
